Beach House Wood Living Room

Design Concept:

The design concept centered around creating a light and airy atmosphere reminiscent of a beach house. Light oak hardwood floors were chosen to enhance the natural light, and custom-crafted wood paneling in a whitewashed finish adorned the walls, providing a subtle coastal touch.

Materials:

Flooring: Light oak hardwood flooring to add warmth without compromising the brightness of the room. Wall Paneling: Custom whitewashed wood panels with a subtle texture to evoke the feel of weathered beachside cottages. Furniture: Natural wood furniture pieces with a mix of distressed finishes, complemented by plush, comfortable upholstery in soft blues and sandy tones. Color Palette: Soft blues, sandy neutrals, and crisp whites dominated the color palette, creating a serene and inviting ambiance. Accents of seafoam green and coral were introduced through throw pillows and decor items.

Design Elements:

Large Windows: The living room featured expansive windows that offered uninterrupted views of the ocean, inviting the outdoors in. Nautical Accents: Decor included nautical-themed elements such as driftwood coffee tables, rope-wrapped lamps, and artwork depicting coastal scenes. Natural Fibers: Jute rugs and woven seagrass baskets added texture and embraced the natural, organic feel of beach living.

Furnishings:

Comfortable yet stylish furniture pieces were selected, including a sectional sofa with plenty of seating, wooden coffee tables with a weathered finish, and accent chairs upholstered in beach-inspired fabrics.

Final Touches:

To complete the project, the living room was adorned with beachcombed treasures, such as seashell-themed wall art, hurricane lamps, and a large driftwood mirror. Subtle lighting fixtures with a brushed nickel finish added a touch of sophistication.

Result:

The Coastal Retreat Elegance project successfully transformed the living room into a tranquil haven, where the beauty of wood seamlessly merged with the calming essence of beach living. The clients were delighted with the outcome, enjoying their new space that captured the spirit of a coastal retreat while maintaining an elegant aesthetic.
